I am in town visiting my mom. She said she had heard this place was good so we went for lunch on a Sunday. We had the French Dip and we're both very disappointed. Service was very good and friendly, but the sandwich was lacking substance and taste. What very little meat that was on the sandwich tasted like the frozen stuff Steak-umms.

Ate here on the Ides of March, 2014 and did not have the same experience as David N did at the end of the month. For those who have worked in the restaurant business, and I'm guessing many/most have, you know every place has it's off days. From the outside, this place is nothing to write home about; inside seems the same until you get into the back dining room. There the effect is intimate and cozy. The three of us had three different entrees from steak to scallops to shrimp - all were excellent. Service also excellent and the place was full. We didn't have reservations as in a town the size of Bull Shoals, hardly seemed necessary but a group of any size might call ahead.

On our Flippin fishing trip, we went back to a old faithful restaurant in Bull Shoals. The 178 Club has never let us down. Third visit for me, too. Service always upbeat and super friendly! Wife had the Mediterranean chicken with artichoke, goat cheese and spinach! 5 stars. I had the Cajun pork loin. The juices were to die for and I'm not joking! Both dishes came with broccoli which was done to perfection. House salad was delicious. It's our go to place in Bull Shoals!

Homemade chips hit the spot from their lunch menu! Service was fantastic in bar area. This place would be 5 stars if it had a view of this Beautiful Bull Shoals Lake!! Staring at a brick wall is a bit less scenic. Overall food was tasty and I'm sure their dinner steaks are tasty. Lunch was quick and easy!

Glad I used yelp to find us a place to celebrate our 31 anniversary , this place was a fantastic find. The food was awesome and our server Annie was so sweet and cheerful. I had the Baked Shrimp and my husband had the Jumbo Fried Shrimp, yummy. Do not pass this place up!

The service was wonderful, although the food was not what we were planning. The salad croutons were either chewy or really hard. Besides that it was good but a bit blah. I'd like to try the burgers next time. We had blackened walleye, seafood platter and one of the big salads. Ok but needs some seasoning.

Visited here a few weeks ago on date-night with my husband. I wasn't sure what to expect. We sat in the bar/ lounge area, ordered apps, a few drinks, burgers, and split the peanut butter pie. Apps were mostly fried- on the greasy side. Burgers were awesome! Juicy and delicious- won me over. The peanut butter pie was amazing! The service was great. Our server was attentive in offering and filling our drink orders. We will surely return again. This is definitely a place for a special occasion- but also a great place to get a juicy burger when that burger craving hits.

Still a good brunch on Sunday mornings, but it used to be the best brunch in AR. I think the great young chef got older and maybe sold out. There was a lady making the omelets with limited ingredient choices compared to past years. Gone were the eggs Benedict & Florentine omelets. Waffles are good. They used to bring pastries by your table several times per meal--she did it once. Oh well--times change. It's still a good breakfast.

Taking one star away from my previous review. Had dinner here last evening with a 7PM reservation. Service and parts of the meal were less than steller this time. I only saw two employees in the entire restaurant, but there must have been another in the kitchen as well. Our server was very friendly and competent, but he was apparently charged with double duty of answering the phone as well as waiting tables. He carried a handheld cordless phone in his pocket. Whenever it rang, he took it out and answered for the restaurant. He did this twice while delivering food or taking orders. Such an interruption at the table is entirely unacceptable and discourteous. I had a steak and grilled shrimp combo. The steak was fine. The one skewer of grilled shrimp had been incinerated on the grill. They were extremely overcooked, hard, rubbery, and no taste. The shrimp tails were charred black. For a $50 dinner for two, they can do a little better than this.

My husbands walleye pike was excellent. my chicken Marsala wasn't like any chicken Marsala I had ever had. There was something sweet added like apples...I couldn't tell what it was. But i didn't like it. Chicken was over cooked. The salad was good but a bit too much dressing. The bread is homemade and my bread-loving husband loved it. Grasshopper Pie was okay but didn't taste homemade. Overall probably one of the best restaurants in an area lacking in good restaurants.We drove past several times after eating there and noticed the parking lot always full...especially for the Sunday brunch.

I have eaten here in the past and it has been good with reasonable prices. However my wife and I went there tonight without reservations and were told that we were 2nd on the list. We went to the bar to wait and watched at least 4 groups of 2 or 4 get seated without reservations. After 45 minutes we decided to leave and were told that they were waiting on 1 particular table that hadn't paid yet. I guess they only have 1 table for customers with a party for 2 with no reservations. By the way, there was no one waited to be seated when we walked out. Bottom line...they may have good food, but I can't reward poor service. Spend your money elsewhere.

Ate here a couple of times in 2012 and enjoyed it very much. Were really looking forward to our return last night. Wow ... What a disappointment, primarily with the service! No attention or interest in asking whether we needed anything or had any questions. Food was good, but service was poor and slow, slow, slow. 2 hours for a drink, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert for my wife and me. On the chance it was just our particular server, we'll try it once more. BTW - avoid the creme brûlée.
